Cannabis and Epilepsy

Diagnosed with Epilepsy? Experiencing recurrent episodes of seizures? Resistant to AED’s (anti-epileptic drugs) already?

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder which can cause a multitude of different forms of seizures. Seizures are normally treated with anti-convulsant drugs. However, some patients experience seizures resistant to these AEDs which leads us to the beneficial consumption of medicinal cannabis.

Cannabis has been proven to potentially decrease and or eliminate some uncontrollable seizures. Cannabis contains different cannabinoids. Cannabidiol known as CBD, has medicinal effects which help to prevent seizures. CBD is the non-psychoactive medicinal form found in cannabis. Cannabis is a treatment option or adjuvant.
