Learn to screen out problem people, including people that don’t like you!

You will never find the men and women that are repeatedly successful with great people talking about problems with others all the time. WHY? Because they don’t see these problems or simply never have to deal with the bad apples, at least not for very long. There is a reason, it is not coincidence, Dear Watson. These people have the intelligence from life experience to be able to read people and their problems and keep people at a safe distance until they know a person is someone they should bring into their life. They also know how to move on cleanly from failed business and personal relationships. One of the most basic and fundamental concepts is this: Your time is precious and the opportunity cost of spending time with the wrong person is far too great when you could be looking for great people.

You can learn to replicate screening great people into your life by learning briefly about bad character traits and some of right questions to ask. Then you will be adept at rapidly walking away from problems or incompatibility before you become invested. The opportunity costs of spending time with less than fantastic people are too high when you could be using that time to find great people!
