Whether you take your own truck, book a jeep tour, or rent a vehicle, off-roading is a blast. Stock SUVs can take you to most of the beautiful places you would want to see so don’t think you have to heavily modify your vehicle to have a great time. Google off-roading guides for your state and get out there. I have modded my Toyota Tacoma with a bed rack, extra fuel storage, and a rooftop tent. I also carry a large cooler, basic recovery gear, a propane grill, sleeping bag, extra water, jumper cables, maps, and cooking gear.
